With Christmas and New Year’s Eve quickly approaching, the county staff at the Eco Station remind the Los Alamos community of changes to the trash and recycle services.

Christmas Holiday Service Change

The County observes the Christmas holiday Friday, Dec. 24. There will be no trash collection service provided Friday, Dec. 24. For Los Alamos residents or commercial customers whose normal trash day falls on this date, county staff advise that materials be placed out on the curb on Wednesday, Dec. 22.

On Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, the Eco Station and Overlook Convenience Center will be open 8 a.m. to noon, and closed Saturday, Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

New Year’s Holiday Service Change

The County observes the New Year’s holiday Friday, Dec. 31. There will be no trash collection service provided Friday, Dec. 31. For Los Alamos residents or commercial customers whose normal trash day falls on this date, county staff advise that materials be placed out on the curb Wednesday, Dec. 29.

On New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, the Eco Station and Overlook Convenience Center will be open 8 a.m. to noon and closed Saturday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day.
