DVS Produces Video Highlighting Forgotten Heroes Funeral

DVS News:

The New Mexico Department of Veterans Services (DVS) has produced a video highlighting the Sept. 29 Forgotten Heroes Funeral, where 29 unclaimed deceased veterans were laid to rest with military honors.

Click on the link to watch the video, which has been posted on the DVS website. Learn how and why veterans, who upon death go unclaimed by family or friends, are provided this “final salute”.

DVS also videotaped the Oct. 6 PACT Act Town Hall Meeting at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque. Veterans attending in-person, and tuning in online, learned more about a just-passed new law allowing eligible veterans suffering from toxic exposure-related medical issues to file VA health care claims – click here to watch the video of the entire town hall meeting.
