‘Drive For Matches’ Benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters

Saturday, July 18 will mark the 4th annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Drive for Matches Golf Tournament.

The tournament will take place at The Los Alamos Municipal Golf Course to benefit the kids of Los Alamos and Rio Arriba Counties. The main focus of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

Fundraising endeavors ensure we have increased capacity to respond to increased needs in our community. The Annual Golf Tournament is one event that helps provide direct financial support and strength to Big Brothers Big Sisters programs and supports the children of Los Alamos and Rio Arriba Counties.

The tournament is still in need of more golfers for the July 18 event. Golfers can call Dawn Brown at 505.614.4231 to register.

Fees are:

  • Non- LAGC Golfers $100 (Includes driving range, cart, golf, dinner and prizes); and
  • Los Alamos Golf Couse Pass Holders $76.00 (driving range, cart, golf, dinner and prizes).

Enjoy a great day on the course featuring the opportunity to win eight hole-in-one prizes, including two 2015 cars sponsored by Henry Valencia Chevrolet and Desert Sun Auto of Espanola. Also, golfers will have the chance to win $5,000 in a Putting Contest sponsored by Plateau Property Management of Los Alamos, with a guaranteed winner of $100.

Featured prizes include, a new driver, three overnight hotel packages, a $250 Chimayo Rug from Ortiz Gallery, a $100 Hilltop Spa gift card, a one year unlimited Reel Deal Movie pass and many other great prizes. The tournament culminates with an awards dinner for the golfers, BBBS volunteers and partners of the year following the tournament.
