The Los Alamos Council on Cancer is pleased to invite the general public and local health care professionals to attend the free Dr. Peter J. Lindberg Memorial Seminar presented by Dr. Fabio Almeida, a Board Member and Medical Advisor of the Prostate Cancer Research Institute, on current and emerging PET/CT imaging techniques in recurring prostate cancer.  Dr. James Ziomek, a colleague and personal friend of Dr. Lindberg, will provide introductory comments.

The seminar is 6 p.m., April 13, at First Baptist Church, 2200 Trinity Dr., in Los Alamos. Preceding the speaker, a complimentary, light dinner begin. at 5:15 p.m. and attendees wishing to participate in the dinner are asked to register at http://www.LosAlamosCouncilOnCancer.Org or contact the Los Alamos Cooperative Extension Service at losalamos@nmsu.edu or 505.662.2656 by April 8. Those not participating in the dinner are asked to register at the same sites, as well.

Attendees will have an opportunity to learn new techniques in the early detection of recurrent prostate cancer as well as honor Dr. Lindberg for his many years of devoted and compassionate service to this community.

Los Alamos Medical Center is a provider approved through the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider number 15835) and this seminar awards 1.5 (CE) Continuing Education contact hours. The Continuing Education objectives of the seminar include gaining an understanding of imaging modalities, understanding and comparing the landscape of current imaging agents, and the utility of molecular imaging and selection of patients for such imaging.
