Dear Patients, Colleagues, and Friends:

I have made the difficult decision to close my medical practice, effective Dec. 31, 2013.

I will be joining a larger, private-practice group in southern New Mexico where I will be able to resume a full-time obstetric and gynecologic practice with shared call coverage. I have missed delivering babies, and the special bonding that occurs when participating in such a special time for families.  

For the time being, my three boys will remain in school here, and I will keep my home here in Los Alamos. You will probably still see me at Smith’s on weekends (!).

I will continue to see gynecologic patients until Dec. 19, 2013 in my office and will keep surgery dates scheduled in December. After that, patient medical records will be kept by LAMC/Northern New Mexico Women’s Health Center. We will be happy to provide copies of your records to yourself or another provider with a signed records release. There is a $25 fee for copies of records. Please call my office at 505.660.4918 until Dec. 30, 2013 or LAMC/NNMWHC at 505.662.4201/ 505.661.9201 after Dec. 30, 2013 for access to your records.

Again, my sincerest thanks to everyone for the past 17 years—I will miss you all.
