DPU Customer Satisfaction Survey Underway

DPU News:

Officials with the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) are encouraging customers to devote 10 minutes to rate the DPU’s performance in providing electricity, natural gas, water and wastewater services.

The sixth biennial customer satisfaction survey, currently underway, is being conducted by Southwest Planning and is included in this month’s utility bill.

“Our customers are extremely important to us and we strive to provide them with excellent reliability and exceptional customer service,” Utilities Manager Timothy Glasco said. “We began surveying our customers in 2005. The feedback we have received over the years has been invaluable in shaping DPU’s strategic objectives and long-term goals, letting us know  what is important to our customers and how we are doing in meeting their needs.”

Historically, DPU conducted phone surveys to collect customers’ feedback. “This year,” Glasco commented, “we concluded that a paper survey may be more convenient for our customers and a little less intrusive.”

Customers may choose to complete the paper survey and drop it in the mail using the enclosed business reply envelope or complete the survey online at southwestplanning.com/PUC. For those customers who opt to take the survey online, they will be prompted to enter a unique passcode that is included on the paper survey in their utility bill.   Customers have until June 15 to complete surveys.

Data will be assembled and interpreted by Southwest Planning in a report that will be made available to the Board of Public Utilities and the public. The report will be posted in July on the DPU website at www.losalamosnm.us/utilities
