The U.S. Department of Energy Los Alamos Field Office appointed Angelica Gurulé May 15 to the Northern New Mexico Citizens’ Advisory Board (NNMCAB).
Gurulé serves as the Environmental Services Manager for Los Alamos County and is a resident of Española.
She will represent the citizens of Española, Santa Fe and Rio Arriba counties during her time on the board.
“I would like to learn as much as possible and be an advocate for the environmental health and safety of residents of northern New Mexico,” Gurulé said.
The NNMCAB is one of eight DOE Environmental Management Site Specific Advisory Boards across the country. The NNMCAB provides DOE with advice and recommendations concerning: environmental remediation, waste management, and monitoring and surveillance of legacy waste at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
