- DNCU Earns #75 Spot on DepositAccounts.com Top 200 Healthiest Credit Unions List
SANTA FE—Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU), Northern New Mexico’s hometown financial cooperative, has been cited as #75 on DepositAccount.com’s 2014 Top 200 Healthiest Credit Unions, making it the healthiest credit union in all of New Mexico with an overall A+ rating.
DepositAccounts.com comprehensively evaluated and ranked more than 13,000 federally-insured banks and credit unions in the U.S.; establishing the healthy criteria based upon several key components including the Texas Ratio, deposit growth, and capitalization.
“Del Norte Credit Union operates in a financially sound and stable manner,” DNCU CEO/President Chuck Valenti said. “The results of this ranking attest to DNCU’s financial strength—strong deposit growth and capitalization, low operating expenses, and loan charge offs and delinquencies well below the industry average.”
DNCU celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year, owing much of its success to providing exceptional service and unbiased financial advice to its membership. Also in 2014, DNCU achieved Level 3 Roadrunner recognition for the third consecutive year from Quality New Mexico (QNM) for economic competitiveness, responsiveness, and effective services. Bauer Financial, Inc. cites DNCU as an exceptional performance credit union for 10 years or more (in 2014) with the highest possible 5-star rating for 42 consecutive quarters.
