District Attorney Marco Serna Announces Second Degree Murder Conviction Of Christopher Owens

SANTA FE Tuesday, First Judicial District Attorney Marco Serna announced the conviction of Christopher Owens for the brutal murder of Timothy Baca in Santa Fe during the Summer of 2017.
 
A Santa Fe jury has found Owens guilty of 2nd Degree Murder with a Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
 
“Combating violent crime in northern New Mexico remains our priority,” District Attorney Serna said. “This brazen, brutal crime shook the community and I will be asking the court to impose the maximum sentence.”
 
Owens faces a total of 19.5 years in prison, which includes two years for habitual offender status.
