“I wish to congratulate Geoff Rodgers. He has my support in the general election,” Chiravalle said in a statement. “I want to thank the members of my committee for all their work: Jim Hanlon, Gerard Kendall, Mary Early, Demetri Cardiel, Patrick Nakagawa, Heath Davis, Lisa Shin, Mandy Marksteiner and Marie Chiravalle. I would also like to thank all those who collected signatures for me, all those who donated to my campaign and all those who supported me with their vote.”
Rodgers now faces Democratic incumbent Stephanie Garcia Richard in the November General Election for the House Dist. 43 seat, which covers Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Sandoval and Rio Arriba counties.
“I wish to congratulate Vincent on a very well-run campaign, he never wavered from his beliefs and I respect that,” Rodgers told the Los Alamos Daily Post during an interview this morning.
Rodgers expressed his appreciation to all of the individuals who supported him and voted for him, adding that the citizens of House Dist. 43 have two very distinct choices in November and said, “I look forward to having that conversation with them.“
