COUNTY News:
The Discoveries Action Team Kick-Off meeting is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 10 at Fuller Lodge; lunch will be provided by Del Norte Credit Union.
Organizers will share how residents, businesses and organizations can be a part of the Los Alamos enhancement efforts.
In an effort to enhance the community experience and attract new residents, businesses, talent and visitors to the community, Los Alamos County has championed the “Discoveries” brand, which incorporates the mindset that Los Alamos is a place that cultivates curiosity and creates aha moments and is represented by the brandline “where discoveries are made.”
The branding initiative is designed to strengthen the reputation of Los Alamos and provide a place for community members to collaborate to make Los Alamos a wonderful place to live, work, play and stay.
The Los Alamos County Council has endorsed a Brand Action Plan that includes formation of the Discoveries Action Team. The team is a volunteer group open to all residents, businesses and organizations who share a desire to improve Los Alamos amenities and offerings, and communicate these benefits to future residents, businesses and visitors.
Discoveries Action Team goals:
- Enhance the Los Alamos “Discoveries” experience;
- Promote what makes Los Alamos unique;
- Create network of community ambassadors; and
- Market together with unified voice and shared message.
“This is an opportunity for residents to discover ways to enhance Los Alamos as an exceptional place to live or start a business,” County Manager Harry Burges said. “We encourage community members to support the ‘discoveries’ initiative by joining us on April 10th to learn more about the vital role they can play.”
