SANTA FE — The Lensic is proud to host its fourth annual fundraising gala, Dinner Onstage at The Lensic: A Passage to India, at 6 p.m., June 18. Featuring dinner, entertainment, and a live auction, the gala will also celebrate The Lensic’s 15th anniversary as Santa Fe’s nonprofit performing arts center.
Tickets start at $500 per person (ten-person tables: $5,000) and support the historic Lensic theater, the Lensic Presents performance series, Lensic Community Outreach programs, and Lensic Arts Education programs, which touch the lives of more than 10,000 children each year.
Guests will enjoy live sitar music by the internationally-acclaimed musician Ustad (Maestro) Roshan Jamal Bhartiya; Indian-inspired continental cuisine by chefs Andrew McLaughlin and John Rivera Sedlar, both of Santa Fe’s Eloisa restaurant; the captivating Indian-fusion dancers of Santa Fe’s Mosaic Dance Company; and the aerial acrobatics of Wise Fool New Mexico.
The live auction will feature unique offerings and once-in-a-life experiences, including:
- A ten-night, privately guided exploration of Dehli, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipu, and Rajasthan, India, with stops at the Taj Mahal, the Pink City of Jaipur, the Lake City of Udaipur, and more.
- A week in the heart of Florence at Palazzo Tornabuoni, a magnificent 15th century Medici palace that has been restored and converted to a private residential building.
- Ten days at Las Verandas hotel and Villas at Pristine Bay, Roatán, an island in the Caribbean off the coast of Honduras. Guests will enjoy private white-sand beaches, golf, private fishing expeditions, and more.
- An “Instant Wine Cellar” collection of more than 100 bottles of fine wine, procured from some of the area’s top oenophiles, plus tickets to a series of events at the Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta for four guests.
If people are unable to attend the gala but would still like the chance to purchase auction items, proxy bidding is available with prior registration.
