DPNM News:
The Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) announced today the hiring of Daniel Garcia as communications director for the 2022 election cycle.
In this role, Garcia will lead DPNM’s communications program and provide support for Democratic candidates across New Mexico.
“I’m passionate about uplifting the positive work of New Mexico Democrats, up and down the ballot,” Garcia said. “I’m looking forward to helping the voters get to know our candidates and all they do for everyday New Mexicans.”
A graduate of the University of New Mexico, Garcia has almost a decade of experience working for campaigns in New Mexico at the federal and state levels. He comes to DPNM from the New Mexico Office of the Speaker. His previous experience includes working for the New Mexico Senate Caucus, congressional campaigns in New Mexico’s first and third congressional districts, Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, and other statewide and regional campaigns.
“With what is at stake this election cycle, we are glad to have Daniel, who understands New Mexico’s unique political landscape so well, leading our communications program,” DPNM Chairwoman Jessica Velasquez said. “Ahead of this election, we are assembling a team of individuals with formidable skills and diverse experiences who care deeply about making New Mexico the best it can be.”
