ALBUQUERQUE – The Democratic Party of New Mexico announced today, that they will bring New Mexican, Felicia Salazar on board as the Party’s new communications director.
“We are excited for Felicia to join our team. Her dedication to our state and strong democratic values will be an asset to the Party. With New Mexico ranking last in almost every category, it’s imperative that voters are reminded how damaging this administration has been for working families and that Democrats are on their side.” said Debra Haaland, Chairwoman of the Democratic Party of New Mexico.
“This is great news for the Party—it’s clear that democratic policies support working families in New Mexico, and having a top notch communications director on board will ensure that voters stay informed, which will give our organization a step up in the coming election.” said Executive Director Joe Kabourek of the Democratic Party of New Mexico.
Salazar previously served as deputy press secretary for U.S. Sen. Martin Heinrich, effectively communicating national policy with an emphasis in social media outreach. Before her communications tenure, she worked in constituent services for then-U.S. Rep. Martin Heinrich in his Albuquerque South Valley office. She is a graduate of UNM and grew up in Moriarty, where her family still resides.
