Del Norte Credit Union Provides Thanksgiving Day Meals To On Duty Firefighters Thursday

DNCU President/CEO Chuck Valenti

DNCU News:

SANTA FE—Del Norte Credit Union, northern New Mexico’s hometown financial co-op, has made plans to provide a warm and delicious Thanksgiving holiday meal to many of the area’s on duty firefighters Thursday.

This year the list of recipients includes five Los Alamos County fire stations, seven Santa Fe County fire stations as well as Española Fire Rescue.

“It just makes sense for us to make the day a little brighter for these public servants who keep our communities safe, especially since many of them will miss their family meals,” DNCU President/CEO Chuck Valenti said.

The turkey meals with all the trimmings are being ordered through several local food restaurants and caterers.

“It really is a wonderful thing for Del Norte to do. It reassures our duty firefighters that the community appreciates their efforts,” Santa Fe Fire Marshal Rey Gonzales said.

This is the third consecutive year that Del Norte has provided holiday meals to on duty firefighters—just one of the ways that DNCU improves the lives of others.
