Daily Postcard: A humming bird sips nectar from flowers blooming on the patio at Blue Window Bistro Friday evening in downtown Los Alamos. Tiny, pugnacious, jewel-like hummingbirds belong to the avian family and weigh 2 to 20 grams. The bee hummingbird of Cuba weighs just 1.95 grams, which means that, theoretically, 16 could be mailed first-class using just one stamp.
