Daily Postcard: A beautiful night blooming cereus nearly in full bloom graces the garden of Master Gardener Sandy Geoffrion. This succulent is a native of the Sonoran desert. A single bloom begins to open in the early hours of darkness and remains open until shortly after dawn at which time it folds back up and falls. This photo was taken at about 10 p.m. Sunday. The bloom had still not opened to its full size: about 10-12 inches. Photo by Joyce Wolff
