C’YA & LARSO News:

Champions of Youth Ambitions (C’YA) and the Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO) announce a major change to the annual Festival of Trees event.

The 22nd annual event will try something new with Christmas in July. While that is a major change to the program, the co-chairs have agreed to try something to ease costs for volunteer donations and time commitments for many.

The July date is set for July 20 and will still take place at the Betty Ehart Senior Center. The plan is to give even more vendors a chance to attend the new event and help even more small businesses.

A few plans still need to be worked out, but if the idea interests you, contact the program anytime at 505.695.9139 or via email at cya.org@att.net.

“The event may actually allow us to do more and help people in many different ways,” C’YA Executive Director Bernadette Lauritzen said. “There are a variety of things that can assist LARSO Executive Director Jacci Gruninger and we’re excited to benefit seniors and youth as much as possible.”
