Cultivating Coders Offers Graduating Seniors Free Coding Boot Camps And Paid IT Training

CODING BOOTCAMP News:

ALBUQUERQUE High Schoolers across the state will graduate this month. Myriad opportunities await them, perhaps the most enticing of which is New Mexico’s own Cultivating Coders’ Coding Boot Camp.

Students ages 17-29 are invited to join a cohort with peers, from every walk of life, for a free computer coding camp in Albuquerque, starting in September. In collaboration with TechHire New Mexico, Cultivating Coders is making tech education accessible to everyone.

“Cultivating Coders passion is working with communities to build a strong and very innovative workforce. Our vision is to partner and work with communities throughout New Mexico to encourage young people to aim for the galaxy. Our mission is to partner and work with communities throughout New Mexico to uplift young people, and help them maximize their opportunity,” said Cultivating Coders Founder and CEO Charles Ashley III. “We’re urging young people to sign up for the September Coding Boot Camp, and we’re also looking for teachers, school administrators, parents, and business owners to partner with Cultivating Coders so together we can bring a community focused coding and IT training to the young people in our most valuable communities – anywhere in New Mexico. From Shiprock to Silver City, Raton to Rincon, we must develop our workforce in all 33 counties.”

At September’s Code AND Create Camp, which runs through November, participants will learn in-demand web development and coding skills in a fast-paced, hands-on boot camp format. Much of the course time will be spent creating a professional portfolio by designing and building websites and web applications using HTML 5, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, WordPress, Virtual Reality, MySQL, and JSON APIs.

This content will prepare students for a range of junior level web employment opportunities including web developer, applications developer, front-end developer, back-end developer, software developer, JavaScript developer, Node.js developer, full stack developer, database developer, and freelance web developer.
