Gov. Susana Martinez describes what she saw while touring the Thompson Ridge Fire by helicopter. Firefighters on the southern and western perimeter of the fire worked to secure the line at the heel of the fire and protect structures on private land at the west side of the fire, according to an Arizona Central West Zone Incident Management Team press release.
