Poodle skirts were flying as community members took to the dance floor for the Los Alamos Family Council’s Sock Hop fundraiser held last weekend. Local merchants provided door prizes and the snack bar provided root beer float prizes for winners of the bubblegum blowing, dance and hula hoop contests. Marlane Hamilton (Vice President) and Diane Daughton (President) are at the front table selling tickets. Popcorn on the table is served in an antique record that was ruffled by baking it in an oven. Every table had free popcorn served this way at the event.
