COMMUNITY NEWS:

Special Olympics Los Alamos will kick off their 2017 fundraisers Sunday, May 7 with a Cowboy Breakfast at the Los Alamos Posse Lodge, located at 650 North Mesa Road near the stables.

Breakfast will be served from 7- 11 a.m. at a cost of $7 for adults and $4 for children 10 years old and under. Sausage, bacon, eggs, a variety of pancakes, juice and coffee will be offered.

Other upcoming local Special Olympics fundraiser events include the annual golf tournament which is slated for June 2. Special Olympics Los Alamos provides athletic and competitive opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
