The Social Services Division of Los Alamos County is advising the public that construction is underway in the parking lot of its office at 1183 Diamond Drive, Suite E.

Fencing and cones may make parking directly in front of the office difficult for the next 4 to 8 weeks. The handicapped space in front of the Social Services office will remain available. Additional parking is located around the building, including at the Los Alamos Public Health Office at 1183 Diamond Drive, Suite D.

Social Services staff can help community members with issues related to getting or renewing Medicaid and other state and federal benefit programs; homelessness and food insecurity; assistance with utility payments and finding behavioral health services.

The Social Services office will remain open with regular office hours during the parking lot construction: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
