Los Alamos County’s Social Services Manager Kimberly Gabaldon conducted tours of her division’s new offices this morning at 1505 Ste. A 15th St. Gabaldon will coordinate County services from this single location.

Gabaldon took over the management of Los Alamos Health Care Assistance Program that has transitioned from the Office of Management and Budget to Community Services. She also coordinates the Community Health Council and manages existing social services contracts.

She served as a Native American liaison for the State of New Mexico Behavioral Health Services Division for the last five years before coming to Los Alamos. Prior to that, she served as a policy analyst for the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care for the Province of Ontario, Canada. She also worked for many years as a consultant on health related issues to the Union of Ontario Indians, a tribal consortium.

Gabaldon has a master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and a master’s degree in counseling from Lesley University.
