Los Alamos Boasts First Photovoltaic System Installed on a Landfill in New mexico
NEDO has begun installing the photovoltaic system on the capped landfill adjacent to the Eco Center. NEDO will install one megawatt, and the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities will enter into a purchase power agreement for another, for a total of two megawatts on the capped landfill. Firefighters Rescue Injured Woman Hiker

Los Alamos Firefighters rescued a hiker who had fallen on Red Dot Trail in White Rock this afternoon while walking with friends. Shortly after noon, a member of her hiking party called out to a passing trail runner and asked him to call emergency dispatch to request help for the injured woman.
