The Great American Campout event scheduled June 10 at Overlook Park has been canceled due to low participation numbers.
It is an unfortunate turn of events, yet with so many other community events occurring this weekend – Chamberfest, SummerFest, the Family Camp Out at Mesa Public Library, Tuff Riders Bike and Outdoor Gear Swap, and Bike and Hike Pajarito Mountain – it appears that people are double, triple, and quadruple booked!

The Los Alamos Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two female suspects seen in video surveillance footage from a shoplifting incident May 31 at a store on Central Avenue.
LAPD is offering a reward of up to $150 to anyone who has information on the identity of the two suspects.

Don’t forget! The DWI Planning Council is partnering with Atomic City Transit (ACT) to provide bus service Friday nights to ensure residents get to and from the Summer Concerts at Ashley Pond Safely. This service extends the regular weekly fixed route service provided by ACT. Service areas will include White Rock, North Mesa, and North Community.
