County: Trinity Drive Lane Closures Oct. 2-6

COUNTY News:

As part of 20th Street Extension Project, construction crews will be connecting new water and gas lines to existing underground utilities on Trinity Drive at the intersection of 20th Street.

This work requires temporary lane and sidewalk closures on Trinity Drive near 20th Street, scheduled as follows, weather permitting:

  • Monday, Oct. 2 through Friday, Oct. 6, eastbound right lane.

Los Alamos County Clerk Office staff members take part in National Voter Registration Day Tuesday in the lobby at the Municipal Building. The event was part of a massive 50-state effort to register thousands of voters. In addition to being at the Municipal Building, clerk staff went to Starbucks and Los Alamos High School. Members of the Rio Grande Norte Chapter of the 99’s organization painted a compass rose Saturday morning on the runway of the Los Alamos County Airport. It was explained that the compass is used by pilots to calibrate in their aircrafts. This particular compass is 42 feet in diameter. The 99’s is an international organization of women aviators. County Celebrates Customer Service Week With Community Event In Municipal Building Lobby Oct. 4

COUNTY News:

In celebration of Customer Service Week, Oct. 2-6, the Los Alamos County Customer Care Center will sponsor an informational event 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 in the Municipal Building lobby at 1000 Central Ave.

Members of the public are welcome to drop by for refreshments. Various County departments will host tables in the lobby with information on projects, programs and services during the event.

I think it time that Los Alamos ban all food for humans. We all know that most food offered here is, well, expensive, and of questionable quality anyway.
 
Everyone can periodically leave the hill for meals, and leave our money and waste food outside the county. Then we will have fewer bears, squirrels, deer, crows, etc. Cut down and burn all fruit trees, plow under all backyard crops, keep all pets on leash or indoors at all times.
 
If no one eats here, it is less of a burden to keep our rolling trash carts in the house so as not to allow any unpleasant smells outdoors.
