County: Vote For Zero Waste Champion Of The Year

COUNTY News:

To promote recycling and zero waste in the community as well as to encourage more businesses to participate in the recycling program, the Los Alamos County Environmental Services Division and the Environmental Sustainability Board is sponsoring the Zero Waste Champion of the Year award

To become eligible, a business is nominated by a member of the community for contributing to sustainability, recycling and waste reduction. The nominees are required to submit a brief overview about how their business recycled, reduced waste, conserved energy or water and contributed to overall sustainability.

This year there are five categories: School, Non-Profit Business, Business, Small Business and Restaurants. Now the community needs to vote on who they believe should receive the Zero Waste Champion of the Yard Award in each category.

To vote for the Zero Waste Champion of the Year visit this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S9ZB3ZM.

The survey will close at noon Friday, May 31.
