County Rink Offers Ice Skating Lessons Free Day

Have you ever been curious about ice skating lessons? Los Alamos County Ice Rink is giving you the chance to meet our skating instructors and staff to try a free mini-skating lesson. Instructors will also be doing skills testing so students will know at what level of lesson to register.

Skating lessons begin at 1 p.m., Saturday Nov. 16 for all skaters 10 years of age and under and 1:45 p.m. for skaters 11 through adult. Be sure to get there early to try on skates and meet with instructors prior to going out on the ice.

Tickets are available at the Aquatic Center or contact the Recreation Division for a free admission ticket via email. If the Rink is not open by Nov. 16, it will still be open for people to meet with instructors and register for the skate lessons programs.

For more information about “Try Ice Skating Lessons For Free,” visit or contact the LAC Parks, Recreation and Open Space Division at 505.662.8173 or beginning Nov. 16 call the Los Alamos County Ice Rink at 505.662.4500.
