County Reminder: First Half Of Property Taxes Due Dec. 10

COUNTY News:

Los Alamos County property owners should have received their property tax bills for 2021 from Los Alamos County’s Finance Department in November.

The first half of property taxes is due Friday, Dec. 10 to avoid late payment penalty and interest charges.

It is the responsibility of the property owner to ensure property taxes are paid. If someone else is to pay on your behalf, you will need to contact them directly regarding this matter.   

Payment Methods:

  • In person. Property owners can remit payment in person at the Customer Care Center located in the lobby of the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave., by 5 p.m., Dec. 10;
  • Dropbox. Property owners can drop a check or money order sealed in an envelope, in one of the two drop boxes conveniently located in the parking lot and lobby of the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave. Customer Care staff collects drop box payments at 5 p.m. each business day;
  • U.S. Postal Service. Payments can be mailed to Los Alamos County, P.O. Box 99, Los Alamos, NM 87544-0099 but must be postmarked by midnight, Friday, Dec. 10; and
  • Online. The County is accepting tax payments online through https://eNoticesOnline.com. Payments will need to be made by 3 p.m., Dec. 10 to meet the processing deadline. Property owners will need the County Authorization Code available on the Nov. 1, 2021 tax bill to create an account. Instructions are available on the Customer Care website at https://ladpu.com/CCC under the Property Tax Payments tab.
