COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County announces its quarterly green waste and bulk collection winter schedule:
- Jan. 5 to Jan. 9: Barranca Mesa, Ponderosa Estates, Loma Linda, Hawks Landing
- Jan.12 to Jan. 16: Quemazon, Sandia, Trinity, Orange, Nickel
- Jan. 19 to Jan. 23: North Mesa
- Jan. 26 to Jan. 30 Walnut, Yucca, Urban, Town Site
- Feb. 2 to Feb. 6 Rover, Old Town, Meadow Lane
- Feb. 9 to Feb.13 La Vista
- Feb. 16 to Feb.20 Pajarito Acres
Remember:
- One pickup per household;
- Set items close to curb – avoid placing items under power lines;
- Available to residents with weekly curb side refuse collection;
- All leaves and pine needles should be placed in paper yard waste bags;
- Allowable items: brush, Christmas tree, mattresses, large appliances and furniture; and
- Place trash in trash roll carts.
Items that will NOT be collected: Televisions, glass, construction material, lumber, tires, concrete, railroad ties, fencing materials or paints and chemicals.
