COUNTY News:

Keep Your Ride Simple … Get on the Bus (and have a chance to win free airfare from LAM to ABQ, too!)

You ride the bus…so, why not fly?

During July, Los Alamos County Airport (LAM) is teaming up with Atomic City Transit to promote the new commercial air service being offered between Los Alamos and Albuquerque!

LAM will be giving away five free round trip flights on New Mexico Airlines, the company under contract to the County that provides commercial airline service between LAM and Albuquerque’s Sunport (ABQ).

To enter, individuals riding the FREE Atomic City Transit buses to/from the Kiwanis Fireworks show at Overlook Park on Independence Day will need to complete a short survey which is also the entry form. The Airport will print 2,250 surveys asking a few questions about the individual’s use or knowledge of the airline service. They will be handed out and collected on the buses by the bus drivers during the short trip to/from the park.

The following Friday, July 11, any remaining surveys not distributed July 4th will be handed out 5:30-7 p.m. at the Airport’s booth at the County’s Summer Concert Series at Ashley Pond Park or until all surveys are depleted. All surveys will be combined into one drawing on Monday, July 14.

A name, e-mail address and phone number will be required on the winning entry to qualify. Winners will be contacted by Airport Staff by e-mail or phone with instructions on how to receive their certificate of award for the free flights that will be issued from New Mexico Airlines. The winner will then need to contact the Airlines’ toll free number and furnish them with the certificate number in order to redeem the award.

Note: One entry per person allowed on July 4 or July 11. In accordance with New Mexico Airlines’ policies, the winner must be over the age of 12 and travel must be booked as a round-trip and cannot be broken up into two separate one-way bookings, and travel is only valid on the route previously specified. The certificate will expire Jan. 1, 2015. All other New Mexico Airlines’ rules and policies apply to this promotion. To review rules and policies, visit www.PacificWings.com.
