County Linemen Rescue Cat Stranded 4 Days In Tree

COMMUNITY News:

Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities linemen Randy and Wayne responded today to the scene of a cat stranded without food or water for four days some 40 feet up in a tall ponderosa tree, near 41st Street and Sycamore.

The linemen traveled in the bucket of their truck up the 40 feet to rescue the weakened cat. Their mission was accomplished in about 10 minutes, according to a neighbor.

The cat is resting at home with his family and concerned neighbors breathed a sigh of relief and thank the local heroes for their good deed.
