NEWS:

Capital Projects: Focus of the Feb. 19 Council Meeting

Typically the Council would hold a work session in White Rock for its second meeting of each month; however, they decided last Tuesday night to move the meeting to Los Alamos and have it as a Regular Session so that they can discuss the list of capital projects that may proceed. This was done in light of its recent guidance to Staff to defer capital projects for up to four years and $12.5 million less than first programmed, to address the current budget shortfall. Until then, capital projects for design and construction approved for this year continue to be on hold. More details about the format and agenda for the Feb. 19 meeting (7 p.m in Chambers) will be forthcoming in a future issue of “The County Line” – stay tuned!
