Comprehensive Plan Maps Update – Two Meetings
Attend a meeting on Monday at 6 p.m. in White Rock Fire Station 3, or an open house on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, to find out more about proposed updates for these important maps – contact the Community and Economic Development Department for details (662-8120).

Council Meets Tuesday
What’s on the agenda? The main focus is likely to be the approval of a service agreement with NM Airlines to return scheduled air service to Los Alamos Airport in April. Fiber Cutover Set for Feb. 15-18
The cutover is the first step in preparing for County employees to move into the new Municipal Building in May.
County services will be down over the long holiday weekend, but impacts should be minimal and won’t affect all facilities.

Capital Projects Discussion Set for Feb. 19 Council Meeting
The Council has moved their meeting from White Rock to Los Alamos (7 p.m. in Chambers) so that it can be televised and streamed when they have the discussion about prioritization of the eight capital projects approved in 2012 that may now be deferred for up to $12.5 million and four years. Update on Municipal Building Naming
The Committee voted Monday evening not to name the building after State Rep. Jeannette Wallace, after a large majority of citizens sent emails or letters to the County over the last few weeks against the proposal. Their recommendation goes to Council Feb. 26. Read more here:

Ice Rink Closing Early Friday, Feb. 15
The Ice Rink will close one hour early next Friday to accommodate a private group. Public skating will be 1:45 to 6 p.m.
