The Los Alamos County Library System will host storytime this Wednesday in White Rock. Storytime is perfect for kids aged 3-5 years.
The library team delights in sharing books, early literacy concepts, songs, and fun with kids who can listen to a few books and are starting to put the world together in story form.
The library system offers storytime three times each week. On Wednesdays, with storytime fun starting at 10:15 a.m. at the branch library in White Rock. Thursdays, starting at 10:30 a.m. at Mesa Public Library in Los Alamos and Saturdays at 10:15 a.m. at Mesa Public Library.
Details:
- Wednesdays, 10:15 a.m. on the rug in children’s area at White Rock Branch Library;
- Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. in The Zone at Mesa Public Library; and
- Saturday, 10:15 a.m. in the 1st floor rotunda at Mesa Public Library.
Those with younger kids are welcome, but some activities might not hold their attention. Children 5 or 6-years-old who are already reading are also welcome, but some of the concepts talked about are things they already know well. The library’s storytime family welcomes everyone as they work to give all ages something special. Staff is trained to shift on the fly and re-focus if they get an especially younger or older-skewing group.
