County Council To Consider Extension Request From TNJLA LLC Tonight

COUNTY News:

During the Los Alamos County Council meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. today, the Los  Council will consider a request from the New Mexico Developer TNJLA, LLC, to amend the Project Participation Agreement (PPA) supporting the development of an extended stay hotel and conference center at 20 St., south of Trinity Drive.

Adopted on Oct. 15, 2019, by the County Council, the existing PPA stipulates that the hotel and conference center shall be completed and fully open for operation by Nov. 16, 2023.  The Developer is specifically requesting Council amend the PPA to extend the completion and operation date to Aug. 31, 2024.

County officials clarify that if the Council rejects the request for the time extension, the existing project is still ongoing and the PPA is binding for both parties.  The time extension is the only element of the PPA being considered with this item tonight.

The agenda for the virtual Council meeting is available on the County website.
