Council Will Hear Details on Six CIP Projects

Council Chair Sharon Stover is explaining that the County has $100 million worth of projects to consider yet there is a decline in revenue so extreme care has to be taken as to which projects are funded. Six Capital Improvement Projects, (CIP) are being presented during this evening’s Los Alamos County Council meeting in Council Chambers. Projects include Ashley Pond, Golf Course, Ice Rink, Nature Center, Teen Center and White Rock Civic Center. The sponsors of each project get 15 minutes floor time to make their final case to Council. COuncil members will take another 15 minutes to ask questions of the project sponsor. Members of the public will have a final opportunity to comment on the projects at Wednesday’s Special Council meeting here in Council Chambers. Photo by Carol A. Clark/ladailypost.com
