Council Tentatively Approves Community Services Department’s Proposed FY23 Budget

Los Alamos County Council unanimously voted this evening to tentatively approved the Community Services Department’s proposed $31,630,030 budget as well as its budget options, which include the following:

  • $76,000 to double fill library manager for six months;
  • $76,000 for a contract to remove feral cattle;
  • $90,000 for one FTE position fort the aquatic center front desk;
  • $50,000  for permaculture barriers for weed prevention;
  • $130,000 for one FTE position for a senior librarian to address technology management;
  • $70,000 on-call services for landscape architects;
  • $15,000 for a quarter FTE position for a library associate; 
  • $50,000 for contract services for trail maintenance; 
  • $250,000 for mobile LED screen; and
  • $40,000 for activity guide printing services.
