Los Alamos County Council unanimously voted this evening to tentatively approved the Community Services Department’s proposed $31,630,030 budget as well as its budget options, which include the following:
- $76,000 to double fill library manager for six months;
- $76,000 for a contract to remove feral cattle;
- $90,000 for one FTE position fort the aquatic center front desk;
- $50,000 for permaculture barriers for weed prevention;
- $130,000 for one FTE position for a senior librarian to address technology management;
- $70,000 on-call services for landscape architects;
- $15,000 for a quarter FTE position for a library associate;
- $50,000 for contract services for trail maintenance;
- $250,000 for mobile LED screen; and
- $40,000 for activity guide printing services.
