Council Tentatively Approves Administrative Services Proposed FY23 Budget

Los Alamos County Chief Financial Officer Helen Perraglio presented tonight the proposed FY23 budget for Administrative Services to council. Council voted 6-1 with Councilor David Reagor opposed, to tentatively approve the Administrative Services’ proposed FY23 budget, which totals $10,538,924. The proposed budget also includes several budget options, which includes $110,000 for 1 FTE Technical Support Specialist, $60,000 Solicitation Management Software, $30,000 Solicitation Management Software annual maintenance, $150,000,1 FTE Contract manager and $100,000 for 1 FTE Senior Office Specialist. Some councilors questioned the new position for a senior office specialist but Hand pointed with current employees handling an office specialist’s duties in addition to their regular duties, having an office specialist will increase efficiency. Councilor Keith Lepsch said he was concern with the number of recurring expenses and new FTE positions being proposed in the County’s budget but felt it was important to give County employees tools to do their jobs.
