The Los Alamos County Council has issued a proclamation declaring the Month of September as “Arts & Culture Month” in Los Alamos County.

Council Vice Chair David Izraeleviz presented the proclamation to Los Alamos Arts Council Director Marlane Hamilton during the regular Council meeting this evening in Council Chambers.

Proclamation:

WHEREAS: The arts and cultural organizations have been a vital part of life and recreation in the Los Alamos community, enhancing our quality of life; and

WHEREAS: The artistic and cultural season in Los Alamos traditionally begins in the month of September; and

WHEREAS: Los Alamos continues to have a multitude of thriving arts organizations providing enrichment in the visual and performing arts;

NOW, THEREFORE, on behalf of the Council of the Incorporated County of Los Alamos, I do hereby proclaim the Month of September as “ARTS & CULTURE MONTH” in Los Alamos County, and call upon all citizens to continue to support the outstanding programs and events that the arts organizations bring to our community.
