This year, the jersey barriers lining Ashley Pond Park’s perimeter along Trinity Drive are looking beautiful, thanks to the skills of local artists who have painted murals on them. Next summer, the view should be different. During the June 30 meeting, Los Alamos County Council unanimously approved to install a new design concept, which will include large, 4-ton boulders and native plants, that will be aesthetically pleasing and an effective safety measure. The project, which costs approximately $100,000, is expected to be completed in time for the 2027 Summer Concert Series. Photo by Kirsten Laskey/ladailypost.com
