‘Cosmos: Possible Worlds’ To Film In New Mexico

SANTA FE  New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced today that the Possible Worlds LLC Cosmic documentary television show “Cosmos: Possible Worlds” will begin principal photography in Santa Fe and Zia Pueblo.
 
Production will be from early April through May 2018.
 
“In combination with a deep talent pool and powerful incentives, New Mexico is a top destination for film productions,” Film office Director Nick Maniatis said. “We’re happy to have Cosmos return for a second season in New Mexico.”
 
The production will employ 150 New Mexico crew members and approximately 300 New Mexico background talent.
 
The Possible Worlds LLC series is directed by Brannon Braga (“The Orville,” “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” “Star Trek: Enterprise,” “Star Trek: Voyager”). The Executive Producers are Ann Druyan (“Cosmos: A Personal Voyage,” “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” “Voyagers,” “Contact”), Brannon Braga (“The Orville,” “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” “Star Trek: Enterprise,” “Star Trek: Voyager”), Jason Clark (“The Orville,” “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” “The Long Road Home”) and Produced by Joseph J. Micucci (“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” “Patriots Day,” “A Million Ways to Die in the West”).
 
Starring Neil deGrasse Tyson (“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” “StarTalk,” “Nova”), “Cosmos: Possible Worlds” is the story of the vastness of time and the immensity of space, the number of worlds to explore and stories to tell are virtually infinite. In “Cosmos: Possible Worlds,” we are off to previously uncharted territories. We will make the long-lost worlds of the human journey come alive, visit the wonderlands of quantum reality, and shatter the wavelength limit of light to discover worlds long thought too small to see. We will visit the possible worlds of our future. And we will meet an all-new pantheon of heroes from the generations of searchers, some of whom gave their lives so that we could flourish and travel to the stars.
