Ashley Pond water levels are a little low right now because the County’s contractor has been completing some work on the intake valves from the pond to the irrigation system around the pond.
The contractor will start refilling the pond with water Wednesday and it is expected to be full by the end of Thursday.
Mr. Fish (the company name of the County’s fish contractor) is set to arrive with the pond’s fish Tuesday for the long-awaited stocking of the pond. The Parks crew will be at the pond to help take the fish from the tank truck to the pond by buckets since the water level is low.
The public should be reassured that this will be adequate water for the fish – there is enough water depth in the middle of the pond to support the fish population until the contractor can get the pond filled by Thursday.
