PEEC News:

See who can stump PEEC’s team of astronomers this Friday, July 19 at the Los Alamos Nature Center at another round of “Stump the Astronomers.”

The fun starts at 7 p.m. and features local astronomers Galen Gisler, Akkana Peck, Dave North, Steve Becker and Peter Polko. Guests should bring their toughest astronomy-related questions and see if they can stump the experts.

This event is free to attend, but call the nature center at 505.662.0460 to reserve a seat.

In addition to this event, the nature center will show the full-dome film “Incoming!” 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20. This planetarium show explores asteroids, comets and the hard-hitting stories of our cosmic origins.

Seating is limited for both of these events, so please call the nature center at 505.662.0460 or stop by to reserve your tickets. Admission to “Stump the Astronomers” is free and admission to “Incoming!” is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Events in the planetarium are not recommended for children under age 4.
