Weather Puts White Rock Fog Seal Project On Hold

on October 26, 2019 - 8:41am
COUNTY News:

Due to upcoming weather concerns Monday, Oct. 28, the fog seal project in White Rock has been put on hold.

Door hangars were placed in the neighborhoods where the fog sealing was to occur ... residents should disregard those notices.

Originally GM Emulsion was supposed to fog seal beginning on Rover Boulevard starting at N.M. 4 and continue toward Grand Canyon Drive. They will continue down Grand Canyon Drive, starting at N.M. 4 to Meadow Lane. They also will work on Bryce Avenue starting at Rover Boulevard to Meadow Lane.

Crews will be working 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. However, the fog sealing process cannot commence unless the weather is dry and the temperature is above 50 degrees.

When it is determined the weather conditions are favorable for the fog sealing to begin, more door hangers will be placed at the residences and businesses affected and a new press release issued.

Los Alamos County Public Works Department is committed to the safety of the traveling public and thanks you for your patience and cooperation during this project.
