SPORTS News:

The Hilltopper Girls Soccer Team ended its season Wednesday in the State Quarterfinals against the Aztec Tigers at the Bernalillo Soccer Complex.

The Toppers fell 3-5 after a hard-fought match. Rainy conditions plagued most of the 90-minute match, leading to slippery and cold conditions on the field.

The Tigers scored three quick goals in the first half, but the Topper kept playing hard. Second half play was dominated by the Toppers as they rallied with three goals of their own.

Jenna Harris started the comeback with a long shot over the keeper’s head. Alyssa Parker and Tara McDonald added to the rally. The Tigers responded with two additional goals, leading to their victory.
