Los Alamos National Laboratory technician-turned popular country artist James Carothers tips his hat to an enthusiastic crowd Friday night during the Secret City Summer Concert at Ashley Pond Pavilion. ‘It’s good to be home,’ he told the crowd. Carothers lived and worked in Los Alamos before returning to his native Tennessee to pursue a career in music. According to a press release, Carothers has earned a lot of accolades. Rolling Stone magazine listed him in its 10 New Country Artists You Need To KnowOctober 2018, and nominated by Ameripolitan as 2018 Outlaw Male. He also has opened for several big names such as Trace Adkins, The Charlie Daniels Band, Dustin Lynch, Cody Johnson and others.
