PEEC News:

By now, you have probably heard about the much-anticipated “Super Comet,” Comet ISON. Expected to make a close encounter with the sun later this month, there is much speculation about whether the comet will delight or disappoint, depending on how its close approach to the sun turns out.

Chick Keller, founding member of the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC), will give a presentation about the comet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov.  21.

In his presentation, Keller will talk about comets in general, why they are important, where they come from, and the reasons why ISON promises to be fun to see. Keller also will address what PEEC will be doing to give people the opportunity to view the comet.

The program is free, and no advance registration is required. For more information about this and other programs offered by PEEC, visit www.PajaritoEEC.org, email Programs@PajaritoEEC.org or call 505.662.0460.
