PEEC News:

PEEC’s Take Wing Week culminates today in its annual PEECnic, a fun and free afternoon of activities for all ages.

The community is invited to this year’s event from 2-4 p.m., which is special because it is the last one at PEEC’s current location at 3540 Orange St. Next year’s PEECnic will take place at the new nature center under construction on Canyon Road.

This year, there will be a dessert buffet, activities for kids, photo opportunities, and live music by the Craig Martin Experience. Hikes from the current PEEC to the new PEEC will take place at 1:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. While the hikes are free, registration is required and space is limited, so those interested are encouraged to register soon at www.PajaritoEEC.org.

There will also be silent and live auctions with fabulous goods and unique experiences, such as the chance to be a “rock star” in the new nature center exhibits, or to have your voice recorded for the new exhibits.

For more information about the PEECnic, visit www.PajaritoEEC.org, call 505.662.0460, or email Programs@PajaritoEEC.org.
